Scottsville Athletic Association baseball is a 100% volunteer organization that teaches the basic fundamentals of baseball including teamwork and sportsmanship.  We are always looking for coaches, umpires and field maintenance help.  Please see any Board member if you are interested.

 

 

 

T-Ball

 

 

 

Must be kindergarten eligible or in Kindergarten

 

Program for boys and girls

 

Games/practices are played at the baseball field at TJ Connor on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 pm.  Season runs for 7 weeks starting end of April -first week of June

 

Basic fundamentals are taught including how to throw, hitting off of a T, running the bases and how to properly field a ball

 

 

Coach Pitch

 

 

Program for boys and girls in grades 1 and 2

 

Games/practices are held at the front field at Johnson Park Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-7 pm.  Season runs from end of April – first week of June

 

There will be home and away games with Caledonia

 

Players are taught the basic fundamentals of baseball including throwing, fielding, running the bases and will begin to hit off of a machine run by the coach

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Minors

 

 

Program for boys and girls in grades 3 and 4

 

Competitive league baseball with Avon, Caledonia, Livonia and Bloomfield

 

Games/practices will start mid-April (as soon as the weather permits) and run through Mid-June.  Games/practices are Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays.  Days and times are subject to change.

 

 Home games and practices at Johnson Park

 

Players are taught how to pitch, field and throw, run the bases, how to slide and bat.

 

Players will be pitching at this level. (43 ft)

 

Equipment will be provided, you are more than welcome to bring your own equipment.  Baseball bats must be stamped “Little League Approved” or “USA bats”

 

 

Majors

 

 

Program for boys and girls in grades 5 and 6

 

Competitive league with Avon, Caledonia, Livonia and Bloomfield

 

Games/practices will start mid-April (as soon as the weather permits) and run through Mid-June.  Games/practices are Mondays/Wednesdays/Saturdays.  Days and times are subject to change.

 

Home games and practices at Johnson Park

 

Players are taught how to pitch, field and throw as well as bat

 

Players will be pitching at this level. (46 ft)

 

Equipment will be provided, you are more than welcome to bring your own equipment.  Baseball bats must be stamped “Little League Approved” or “USA bats”

 

 

 

 

 

Softball

 

Program for girls in grades 3 – 6

 

Competitive league with Avon and Caledonia

Home games and practices will be at the Fire Hall/Johnson Park

 

Players are taught how to pitch, throw as well bat

 

Equipment will be provided
